EXPLORING DRAMA

Homeschool Class (Ages 8-14)

Meets on Tuesdays 2:00-3:30

Teacher: Robby Fulton-Hofelich

This class is designed specifically as an enrichment course for homeschooled students! Join us as we take a deeper exploration into theatre on and off stage. We will learn the aspects of a play through writing, building, blocking and performing an original production.

ADVENTURE THEATRE

(Grades K—2nd)

Meets on Tuesdays 4:00-5:30

Teacher: Christian Underwood

It’s time to put on your imagination cap and get ready for this action-packed class! In this exciting class we will be using a wide variety of stories and game s to add tools to your acting toolbox as well as help you to get more comfortable with being on stage.

STORYBOOK THEATRE

(Grades 3rd- 5th)

Meets on Tuesdays 4:00-5:30

Teacher: Davis Branch

Join us where ‘Once Upon a Time’ meets ‘happily ever after.’  In this classic class, we will take our favorite stories and think of creative ways to stage them! Topics will include acting skills, basic technical theatre, and playwriting.

ADVANCED ACTING

(Grades 6th-12th)

Meets on Tuesdays 4:00-5:30

Teacher: Hollie Sherrill

This is an opportunity to bridge dramatic play, storytelling, and literature. Students will focus on character development as well as movement and voice for the stage.

MUSICAL THEATRE

(Grades 4th-6th)

Meets on Thursdays 4:00-5:30

Teacher: Robby Fulton-Hofelich

This class will focus on musical theatre performance. We will work weekly on a group song as well individual student songs. We will go beyond the note s to the meaning intended behind each piece. By the end of the class each student will have a basic knowledge of how to read music and a better confidence and direction for musical performance.

IMPROV

(Grades 7th-12th)

Meets on Thursdays 4:00-5:30

Teacher: Christian Underwood

This fast-paced class will teach you all of the basics you need to know to create your own hilarious and fun scenes! Each week we will explore different characters, settings, and topics to create a wide range of improvised scenes. Say “Yes, and” to this class today!

MAKE A SCENE

(Grades 6th-12th)

Meets on Thursdays 4:00-5:30

Teacher: Hollie Sherrill

This brand new class will focus on playwriting and directing. Students will come in each week and work with each other to develop unique scenes as well as direct each other in scenes.
