Are you afraid of the dark? This suspense-thriller will have your heart in your throat. Susy Hendrix is a blind woman that has been targeted by three con men. They are after a mysterious doll that has accidentally wound up in her apartment, and they won’t leave until they get it. Featuring innovative staging, you’ll be up close and personal with the action. We promise that you’ve never seen a show like this at The Green Room before. And when the lights go out… well, you’ll have to come find out for yourself.

DANIELLE SIERS (Susy Hendrix) is very excited to be debuting in her first show at The Green Room with such an amazing cast. She wants to say “Glory to God! And thanks him for the amazing grace that he has given her. “Thank you to Caleb for letting me back on stage again. To my family, friends and MK sisters, thank you for the support you have shown me and being the best babysitters so I could be involved with the theater again. Ella, pursue your dreams and don’t let anyone hold you back. Mommy loves you Booger! And Shawn, thank you for being the rock to my free spirit. I love you.”
CAMRYN SNARR (Gloria) is a 7th grader at Newton-Conover Middle School. She plays trumpet in the jazz band, loves Legos, Harry Potter, reading, and ballet. She is proud owner of hedgehog named Quillow. Camryn is excited to be playing a sassy pre-teen on stage.
CHRISTOPHER HONSAKER (Roat) This is Christopher’s first show at The Green Room and he’s excited to be making his debut in such a thrilling show. Credits include Prof. Harold Hill in The Music Man, Anthony in Outside Mullingar and King Henry II in The Lion in Winter at HCT. Thanks to Caleb and this great cast for this opportunity.
DAVID TOWNSEND (Carlino) David is thrilled to return to the black box stage in this amazing and exciting production. Although David loves performing on the main stage here at The Old Post Office Playhouse, he loves the intimacy and shared energy between performers and audience members in the black box. Directing credits include the hit shows To Kill A Mockingbird, Diary of Anne Frank, Southern Fried Funeral and the sequel Southern Fried Nuptials. Most recently David co-directed the record breaking Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. Onstage credits: Guys and Dolls, A Trip to Bountiful, Santaland Diaries, The Glass Menagerie, The Fantasticks and many others.
CHRISTOPHER STONE (Mike) is an 18-year old native of Gastonia, is ecstatic to be appearing in another production at The Green Room! Previously appearing in The Addams Family, West Side Story, Cyrano, and Beauty and the Beast, Christopher is looking forward to helping bring some magic to the stage once again! He hopes that you enjoy TGR’s production of Wait Until Dark!
CHRISTIAN LEE UNDERWOOD (Sam Hendrix) Christian works for Newton Conover City Schools as their Drama teacher for each of their elementary schools. He is excited to be working with such a phenomenal cast and crew! He hopes that this show reminds everyone that “the best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart.” -Helen Keller
CALEB RYAN SIGMON (Artistic Director) Directing credits at The Green Room include Cyrano, The Addams Family, and Dr. Seuss’ The Cat in the Hat. Caleb is also the Artistic Director of Liberty Mountain – The Revolutionary War Drama that plays each summer in Kings Mountain, NC. He is a graduate of UNC School of the Arts, and received a lifetime recognition award from his hometown community theatre at the age of 18. KATY SIGMON (Production Stage Manager) Professional Credits include: Costume Designer for Oliver! with Children’s Theatre of Charlotte, A Year with Frog and Toad and The Ugly Duckling (Jim Henson Award Winner) with the North Carolina Theatre for Young People as well as Wig Designer for Thoroughly Modern Millie, One Man Two Guvnors, and Shear Madness at the Heritage Theatre Festival (Charlottesville, VA). Katy is a graduate of UNC Greensboro and is so grateful for the incredible grace and inspiration of Jesus Christ.
DIANA MANSFIELD (Assistant Stage Manager) is back for the second time backstage at The Green Room, she first assisted with Cyrano. Diana performs at theatres in Gaston and Cleveland counties. Past roles include Gwendolen Fairfax, The Importance of Being Earnest; Jovie, Elf the Musical Jr; Little Red Riding Hood, Into the Woods; Pig 3/the Dragon, Shrek the Musical; Etcetera, CATS the Musical; Mary Martin, Liberty Mountain. When not performing, Diana entertains as various princesses and characters for parties; practices music and writes fiction, which recently won her an original short story publication. “Many thanks to Caleb for the opportunity to work on this show, and to my Savior for gifting me with talents that I can give back to Him.”
MATTHEW LUCAS (Sound Design) is a marketing director, actor, and professional film critic from Blowing Rock, NC. He majored in Theatre and Film Studies at Appalachian State University. This marks his second production as Sound Designer at The Green Room, after his work on Cyrano in 2016. He previously collaborated with Caleb on the sound designs for Liberty Mountain – The Revolutionary Drama and The Kings Mountain Revolutionary Ghost Tour.
SAVANNAH FRYE (Production Assistant) is so excited to be involved in another TGR show this season. She was recently seen in the ensemble of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. Other credits include Cinderella in Into the Woods and Maria Von Trapp in The Sound of Music both with Bunker Hill High School and Sally Brown in A Charlie Brown Christmas. She is so excited to be doing something she’s never done with a show before: being dead and working backstage. Thanks to Caleb and Katy for this exciting opportunity!
